NORFIAD
Network of Research for Innovation and Development
Overview
NORFIAD is an independent research organization to support long-horizon scientific and technological development. Incorporated in the United Kingdom as a company limited by guarantee, it provides a formal governance and record-keeping framework for research initiatives — ensuring intellectual clarity, documented progression, and operational integrity.
Research within NORFIAD is conducted entirely through member-led projects. The organization does not offer consumer products or clinical services.
What NORFIAD Provides
NORFIAD provides a environment for disciplined research development, including:
Project initiation, reporting, and closure frameworks
Internal peer review and archival systems
Trusted timestamped documentation with cryptographic integrity

Defined scope and objectives
Assigned team and mentors
Safety and risk framework
Data management plan
Projects are classified by confidentiality level, ensuring transparency where possible and protection where necessary.
Intellectual Property & Publication
Ownership of all intellectual property deposited with NORFIAD remains with its Owner — whether individual or team. Upon deposit, NORFIAD receives a non-exclusive, internal-use license to evaluate and develop the work within the organization. Any external licensing, sharing, or third-party publication requires the Owner's written consent.
Internal review precedes formal release. Publications must credit NORFIAD and follow disciplinary norms. Classified outputs require Council approval before release.
Records & Evidence
NORFIAD maintains archival systems covering research documents, decisions, deposits, and intellectual property records. All significant documents carry a Document ID, version number, and cryptographic fingerprint with trusted time evidence. Methods are technology-neutral to ensure continuity over time.
